History

Founded by Nicole Craig in January of 2018, Northern Ridge Stables is the result of a dream finally coming true. After many years in a dead end job, Nicole decided to finally return to her roots in the country and purchase a 10 acre property in a little town in southern Illinois named Arlington. By August of 2019 the facilty was up on it's feet and ready to open its doors.

The property in it's entirety consists of 8 buildings, an outdoor arena, several small pastures, two round pens and a trail that circles the whole area. Within those 8 buildings are; a main 14 stall barn for the stable owned horses, a 9 stall barn for the boarders, a 7 stall barn for our rehabilitation program, a 4 stall barn dedicated to the breeding program, an indoor arena, Nicole's personal house, a hay barn, and a parking garage for the trailers. 

 

Outside of the property, there is an auction house 20 minutes away that holds livestock auctions every 2 weeks. This is our main source of horses for our rehabilitation program. Every month we buy up to 5 rescues, start them for 30 days then sell them back off in our own auction if we decide not to keep them. 

 

There is also a nice show ground not too far away either, this is where plenty of local shows are held each month in the summer.
